Hollywood’s biggest egos get a blow. Now banned selfies on the red carpet in Cannes.

The organizers behind the film festival in French Cannes has grown tired of the visiting movie stars often confounds schedule by stop and take selfies on red carpet on the way in to parties and film screenings.

– We do not want to impose a strict ban, people will certainly still continue to selfies on the red carpet. But we have nevertheless demonstrated the problem and hope it will become fewer stops to take pictures, says Isabelle Gainche marketing manager for the festival Heart Palais.

The guards that keep track of the order on the red carpet has given the task of keeping after selfie-orgies so that it does not become a veritable bottleneck of instagrammande movie stars on the red carpet.

– Cannes is a glamorous place, so the people who are here must also behave in a glamorous thus, says Isabelle Gainche.
