Christian Bale blockbuster banned – Aftonbladet

Christian Bale doing the lead role as Moses in the biblical blockbuster “Exodus: Gods and Kings”.

But there is an earthquake that steals the show – and parts of the Red Sea.

Now it stops in Egypt and Morocco because of “historical distortion,” writes The Hollywood Reporter.

The original text has admittedly few years on the neck.

But a revamping of the biblical story of Moses and Ramses do not go home everywhere.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Ridley Scott’s “Exodus: Gods and Kings” – Christian Bale as Moses and Joel Edgerton as Ramesses – banned in Egypt and Morocco.

falsification of history

According to the prestigious trade magazine is the reason that the writers are accused of having been guilty of falsification of history. Egypt’s censorship board finds it particularly serious that it is a jorbävning, and not a miracle performed by Moses, which leads to the Red Sea split.

The film has also been criticized for only having white actors in the lead roles.

– I sympathize with that view but the actor is not my job to make such decisions. I got a job offer as it had been very difficult to turn down, said Joel Edgerton recently according to the Hollywood Reporter.
