The Canadian Ambassador Kenneth Macartney invite listeners on a bike ride with interesting digressions.

Already the year before, the young Kenneth before taking another long and unusual journey from his hometown of Victoria on Vancouver Island to Montreal – on bicycle. He and big brother bikes 500 mil 40 days to see the Olympics in 1976.

This arduous journey becomes the starting point for the Ambassador’s Summer program, where he talks about his homeland and sometimes draws parallels to Sweden. As with the Canadian artist group that was formed at the time of the First World War, the Group of Seven. The program is general education in a refreshing way and Kenneth Macartney looks at both Canada and Sweden with positive eyes. He highlighted the motto of Canada’s constitution, “peace, order and good government” and says that it can also apply to Sweden.

As the cycle huggers I become happy enlightenment to faithful from the 1970s still rolls, now in Stockholm. I call that a solid bike.

The last two sentences : “I have enjoyed the journey and hope that you, my fellow passengers, also have done it. Happy summer, everyone!”
