Dylan’s friend: “He might not say something” – Expressen

Bob Dylan is this year’s nobel prize winners in literature.

But the songwriter himself has not commented on the award.

“He may not even recognize it,” says Bob Neuwirth, one of Bob Dylan’s friends, to the Washington Post.

It has been a day since the Swedish Academy announced that it was Bob Dylan who will receive this year’s nobel Prize in literature. But so far, the american recording artist and songwriter himself not commented on the award.

According to the Washington Post, who has spoken with several people in Bob Dylan’s proximity, has Bob Dylan not mentioned anything about the price throughout the Thursday.

“He may not even recognize it,” says singer Bob Neuwirth, one of Bob Dylan’s friends told the newspaper.

the Winner declined the prize in 1964

Jean-Paul Sartre is known to have declined the award when he was awarded it in 1964. Per Wästberg says to SVT News that he believes that Bob Dylan will accept the award.

” he did not receive the award, he will still appear on the list. Even those who say no to the price get it. Sartre is nevertheless built on the list of nobel Laureates. Later told Sartre he wanted to have the price in it for the money, but then it was too late, ” said Per Wästberg to SVT.

Bruce Springsteen, "Bob Dylan gave me hope ‘

The 10 december ceremony in Stockholm, and yet it is thus unclear if Bob Dylan will show up.

Bob Dylan is congratulated by recording artist Bruce Springsteen, who on his official Facebook page has posted a hyllningstext where among other things, he tells of an emotional meeting with the idol. During the performance put Bob Dylan in the audience after the receipt of culture – and an honorary award, Kennedy Center Honors.

“Bob Dylan inspired me and gave me hope,” writes Bruce Springsteen.
