the royal dramatic theatre being pulled with the economic troubles and may need to terminate part of its staff, reports the SVT’s culture news.

the Theater’s management has called to an information meeting where the working Eirik Stubø announced that negotiations will begin with the trade union the Swedish theatre union next week.

the royal Dramatic theatre’s public relations manager Christina Bjerkander says that it is not clear how many services will disappear or which department will be reduced.

Management has come to the conclusion that the royal dramatic theatre in terms of cost, will have to save up the 20 person-years. But one should be careful not to put the equal sign between 20 people and 20 person-years. It can mean that you look over the number of retirements, some services are not reimbursed, or that invests in external resources and agency work, ” she says to the culture news.

Bjerkander says that the ambition is that the new organisation should be up and running in 2017.
