Neighbouring countries fell in the ESC semis – Swedish Radio

Large favorites Polina Gagarina from Russia and Elina Born & amp; Stig Rasta from Estonia went to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. But not Finland or Denmark’s contribution.

Finland’s famed punk band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät and Denmark Antisocial Media took the trip out of Tuesday night’s semifinals.

Preview favorite Polina Gagarina from Russia sang their little unexpected to the finals in the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The contribution “A Million Voices” is written by, among others, the Swedes Joakim Björnberg and Gabriel Alares, and became one of the ten songs that went on from Tuesday’s race. Although Estonia’s popular duo Elina Born & amp; Stig Rasta can say “hello” to the final. The song “Goodbye to Yesterday” Europe fell in the taste.

It was worse for the Swedish contestants neighbors on Tuesday evening. Neither the Ministry talked about punk contributions “Aina Mouth pitää” or Danish pop song “The way you are” managed to qualify for the final.

Somewhat surprisingly even ended up the favorite tipped Dutch star Trijntje Oosterhuis and her “Walk along”, written by the famous artist Anouk and the Swedish songwriter Tobias Karlsson outside the top ten.

The broadcast from Stadshalle in Vienna led by Mirjam Weichselbraun, Alice Tumler and Arabella Kiesbauer while last year’s winner Conchita Wurst, did the talking with the contestants performers in the green room. Sanna Nielsen and Edward af Sillén commented on the contest in SVT.

On Thursday night goes the other semifinal, in which Sweden competes, by the bar.
