Ticket now applying for bankruptcy – Vasterbotten Courier

The controversial company BiljettNu have filed for bankruptcy. The Company has a tax liability of around SEK 1.5 million, writes Aftonbladet.

– There is an ongoing dispute with the Swedish Tax Agency for an interpretation regarding tax legislation, says CEO Hans Haraldsson told the newspaper.

On a question if he filed bankruptcy to avoid tax liability respond Haraldsson he filed for bankruptcy “to help customers get their tickets.”

Haraldsson has started a new company – Hasse Event Tickets.

– All customers who have not yet received tickets by Ticket Now do not be anxious, they will get the tickets by Hasse Event Tickets. Which features will BiljettNu continue to be and we will be selling the same web address as before, says Haraldsson told Aftonbladet.

Ticket Now selling second-hand tickets for events such as concerts, often several times more expensive than the tickets originally cost . The company has in recent years faced severe criticism on several occasions, including when they failed to deliver the tickets which they sold to big concerts.

The company has also been involved in a protracted dispute with concert giant Live Nation on ticket sales a Roxette concert in 2010. A dispute BiljettNu eventually lost.
