JK Rowling condemns abuses in Cologne – Metro

Harry Potter creator JK Rowling getting into the debate surrounding the events in Cologne on New Year’s night, where a large number of men harassing passers women, according to The Guardian.

She does it by giving their full support the award-winning poet and writer Musa Okwonga who wrote a long post about the importance of all men “regardless of ethnicity ‘becomes considerably pissed off about the way women are treated in the public space.

On Twitter writes Rowling:” There (here) is the best comment I read on the attacks in Cologne, written by a black man of African origin living in Germany “.

Some 90 complaints have been made of sexual abuse during the New Year celebrations at Cologne Central Station. The notifiers testify about how groups of 20-30 young men surrounded the women, molested them and robbed them. The attacks have fueled xenophobic forces in Germany who see a link between the attacks and the country’s refugee reception.
