Hollywood Film fine advertisement for Norway – Swedish Dagbladet

The new film “Downsizing” with Matt Damon, among other things recorded in Norway, helps to increase tourism around the Vesterålen and Lofoten, writes Vesterålen Avis news agency NTB.

– It helps to build Vesterålen as destinations. It is quite obvious. Just look at the “Lord of the Rings” and what it has meant to New Zealand. And with our special scenic qualities at sea so there are few comparable sites in Europe, says Roy Odd Schøyen at Vesterålen Tourism.

He believes that film tourism is something to bet on, but it requires effort and finances.

Damon himself in various media praised the beautiful Norwegian nature.

– You Breathtakingly, said the Hollywood star to Norwegian TV2 in a week and also revealed that he would stay a few days on vacation with the family.

– No one in our film crew had been in Norway before so it’s very exciting.
