Fun Daniel Adams-Ray is for most best known as a musician. But now he has a new string to their lyre – athlete. on Saturday he won the hard Öloppet in the Gothenburg archipelago.
We know perhaps best recognized him as an artist, but today, when the world’s largest swimruntävling took place in the Gothenburg archipelago, he was one of the participants. Daniel Adams-Ray excellent results with his teammate Matilda Bertlin and won the race in the mixed class.
– Wow, this was a cool race with fierce competition and amazingly beautiful nature. I got a “Lord of the Rings” – the feeling that compete in this archipelago, said Adams-Ray in a press release.
in Öloppet can compete in damklass, Mr class and mixklass. Adams -Ray vied with Matilda Bertlin and combed with their team, YO Running Club / HEAD, home of a tie for first place in the mixed class.
From a wetsuit to the scene
No rest, no peace. Directly after the race went to Daniel Adams-Ray to Örebro to be on stage the same evening at 22:00, writes Swedish Television News.
– I have warmed up considerably, you could say, says Daniel Adams- ray to SVT.
He takes the risk of being tired with tranquility. Previously he has done gigs with fever, and because he is training very endurance sports everyday, he is not worried.
I am a morning person, and the opportunity to swim or run early before going to the studio. There will be approximately 10 hours of training per week, says Adams-Ray.
Beautiful profit
Despite its past success with Snook and his solo career, it felt great to win Öloppet. Adams-Ray describes it as the most enjoyable feat to date in the sporting context. The team finished the race with a time 4:29:08.
– It is great to win. It is a race with many good athletes who are with, he says to SVT.
And more gains may be. In early September, Daniel Adams-Ray re-dressing the wetsuit and compete in the next swimruntävling which will be held in the Stockholm archipelago.
Öloppet is the world’s largest swimruntävling.
This year’s race was the fifth edition and the interest was greater than ever.
Approximately 600 people participated in this year’s race. They will compete in teams of two people. Dressed in the wetsuit and hiking shoes fell participants 40 and 20 km long path before reaching the target at Styrsö Bratten.
The race track offers beautiful views, salt water, bare cliffs and tough swimming and löppassager.
