The TV personality Stephen Glover, better known as Steve-O, has been arrested by police. The arrest took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night after he climbed up into the top of a crane, blown up a orcas in plastic and fired fireworks.
The aim of the climb was to protest against the theme park Sea World using the orcas in their shows , announced Steve-O himself in social media, where he also laid out several videos from the campaign.
Some 30 police officers were called to the scene, as well as fire brigade and medical staff, as first feared it was an suicide attempts.
Steve-O, as known from TV series such as “Jackass” and “Wildboyz”, is now suspected of including preparation of a crime, writes the LA Times. He has previously taken action against the Sea World, which gave him a fine in 2013.
