Swift directs new criticism of Spotify – Swedish Dagbladet

Last year took Taylor Swift, the acclaimed shapes away all their music from Spotify. She then said that she thought the Swedish music service was an “experiment” that did not compensate songwriters and performers in a “fair way”.

Now directed Swift new criticism of Spotify – this time it is about how the company responded to her campaign.

– I thought it was ironic that the multi-billion company was humbled by criticism, while the startup company with no cash flow reacted as a business machine, she says in an interview with Vanity Fair.

With the “multi-billion company” aimed Swift at Apple who, after public criticism from her, reconsider its decision not to pay compensation to the rightholders for the music service Apple Musics try on period.

– Apple treated me like I was the voice of a creative community that they actually cared about, she says.

When Taylor Swift took away their music from Spotify said company CEO Daniel Ek with an open letter in which he wrote that paid out 15 billion to the rights holders. He also wrote that Spotify paid out around SEK 44 million per year for top artists like Taylor Swift.
