A few days ago announced Jan Johansen that he refused to appear during the SD-funded summer festival in Sölvesborg.
Now Black Ingvars also decided to abandon the festival, writes Göteborgs Posten.
– Black Ingvars is for ever for solidarity and human equality, says Magnus Tengby to GC.
Jan Johansen chose to skip the Summer Festival in Sölvesborg when he realized that it was organized by the Sweden Democrats.
Now the festival’s next heavy defections.
Black Ingvars announces that they will not occur, writes Göteborgs Posten.
– we always love to play for our fans but we certainly do not want to become a pawn in the political game of the Sweden Democrats, says Magnus Tengby, singer and guitarist of the band to the GC.
According to Magnus Tengby he did not know, just as Jan Johansen, it was SD, who stood behind the festival.
– We thought it was an ordinary city festival but it’ve proved something else entirely. After we realized the festival’s connection to the Sweden Democrats wanted, of course, no one in the band contribute to embellish the event, he says to GC.
In an attempt to make amends to their fans offers now Black Ingvars to play for free elsewhere on 26 August, the day of the festival would have been held.
– If any organizer near Sölvesborg would like to engage us on the day we make up for free and play our show for all the disappointed fans who wanted to see us in Sölvesborg, says Magnus Tengby to GC.
