Book on Lynch’s soundtrack released – Västerbotten Courier

Many people may think of the drawling “Audrey’s Dance” David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” is mentioned, or remember Roy Orbison’s “In Dreams” from “Blule Velvet” rather than the act itself.

the music has always had a great importance in Lynch’s films, which are explored in a book entitled “Beyond the Beyond: Music from the films of David Lynch” reports Pitchfork.

the book of 192 pages contains facts and photos from the eccentric director’s film archives as well as interviews with musicians like Flaming Lips, Moby, Sky Ferreira, Lykke Li, Angelo Badalamenti, Duran Duran and others.

launched with a live album with the aforementioned artists who took part in a tribute concert to the David Lynch Foundation last year.

Lynch himself has given out music, including the albums “Crazy clown time” and “the big Dream”.
