Jason “Timbuktu” Diakité has written an epic about his family’s history.
Timbuktu (Jason Diakité) release the book in the fall. Here he appears with Damn! on Bråvalla festival this year.
– by telling my family’s story so touching me with questions about identity, belonging, my search for identity, which is my home and my people, says Jason Diakité Dagens Nyheter.
the book is entitled “a drop of midnight” and alludes, according to the author, on what used to be called “endroppsregeln” – it was enough with a drop of black blood to be classed as black by their environment.
the book is released at Albert Bonniers in November.
