The red John Broadwood and Sons-piano, and has also been equipped with a plaque of the Beatles, himself, certifies that the instrument was used to compose “Lucy in the sky with diamonds”, “A day in the life”, “Being for the benefit of Mr. Kite”, “Good morning Good morning” and “many more”.

the Piano is expected to go for between 11 and 16 million. When Lennon’s Steinway, which he wrote “Imagine” on, were sold in the year 2000 had amounted to over 20 million.

Among the other rarities on the Sotheby’s auction of rockprylar in New York on 10 december are Bob Dylan’s handwritten lyrics to “Blowin’ in the wind”, the paintings of David Bowie and Lou Reed’s typed manusblad to a number of Velvet Underground songs.
