In the night came the news of Leonard cohen’s passing, the multi-information claims that he died as early as Monday.

Cohen was born in 1934. He grew up in a jewish family in Montreal, Canada, his father died early but left a legacy that made possible for Cohen to pursue a literary career.

He made his debut as a poet in 1956, with “Let Us Compare Mythologies”. During the sixties, it was also the two novels that he wrote when he lived in the Greek islands, but he continues in parallel to write poetry.

Skivkarriären began in 1967 with the debut “Songs of Leonard Cohen” and ended just a few weeks ago with the universally acclaimed “You want it “darker” – an album which many interpreted as a farewell. In an interview with The New Yorker in October of this year, said Cohen: “I am ready to die.”
