Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has now testified in an ongoing copyright case concerning the iconic guitar loop at the beginning of “Stairway to heaven” from the 1971st
the Los Angeles band Spirit who claim that the loop is stolen from their song “Taurus” from 1967. the lawsuit was filed by the trustee of the estate of Spirit guitarist who is also the “Taurus” -kompositören Randy Wolfe.
Lead
Zeppelin was opening for Spirit in the late 60th century, but according to Pages testimony, he had not heard the “Taurus” until recently and could not remember that he ever seen the band live. 
Even Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant will testify at a later stage of the trial.
