Streisand honors Orlando victims – Västerbotten Courier

Culture Telegram In the night’s Tony Awards, where theater and musical productions on Broadway in New York praised, honored the victims who were killed at a gay club in Orlando on Sunday, the gala of stars.

Barbra Streisand, who introduced the nominees for best new musical, and took part in the gala for the first time since the 70′s, said:

– this evening is our joy tinged by sadness, but we are here to celebrate the Broadway and the fine that culture can give us. Art can entertain and form us, and in times like these even comfort us, said the star.

The sold-out musical “Hamilton” took home the most prizes, with eleven prices for including best musical, actor, director and music.
