The American rock star Scott Weiland is dead, according to his wife for the LA Times. Weiland was on tour with his band The Wildabouts when he was found dead in his tour bus in Minnesota on Thursday.
Weiland, who battled drug addiction for many years, was 48 years. He is perhaps best known for his time as lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots, he was fired from 2013. He was also the lead singer of Velvet Revolver, among other things, consisted of Guns N ‘Roses stars Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan, but got also fired from the band.
Scott Weiland and The Wildabouts would have played in Stockholm and Gothenburg in September this year, but the gigs were canceled.
