One person has been killed in a major fire in a residential neighborhood Odensala toss in Ostersund. The person was found in the fire-ravaged building by the emergency services.
– One confirmed dead, I have neither the age or sex of the person, says Lars Nyman, internal officers at the emergency services in Ostersund said.
Another person has burnt damaged his hand. All residents have been evacuated from the building that houses twelve apartments on two floors.
– The fire started in an apartment and spread to neighboring apartments in the same building, says Urban Dahlbäck, duty officer the police in Ostersund said.
the fire-fighting is still going on.
– We do not really have control of the fire yet, but boundary lines are to the property that is affected, says Nyman.
Some 20 firefighters from four fire stations are working at the site. Residential Langan will probably be irreparably damaged.
