Several new artists to Way Out West in the summer – Expressen

Way Out West announced on Wednesday morning 18 new artists to the festival which takes place in Gothenburg this summer.

Among the performers are Canadian electro artist Peaches and Swedish retro band Dungen.

Fesivalen Way out West has unveiled 18 new artists to the summer festival held in Slottsskogen. Among the performers include the Norwegian singer-songwriter Ane Brun, US mail punks Algiers and soul-influenced country rock from the American Whitney.

Here are the new artists:

Ane Brun – Norwegian singer songwriter.

Basia Bulat – Canadian folk singer.

the Grove – Swedish retro band with its roots in progressive rock music.

Bibi BOURELLY – German Bibi BOURELLY has written songs for Rihanna and makes now own career.

Peaches – kandensisk electro.

Formation – Twin brothers whose music is described as post punk club beats that meets a “vaguely menacing screaming man”.

Algiers – Post Punk meets gospel, according to the festival’s own description.

Cloves – Australian 19-year-old who makes music that “feels exactly like drops of salt water on sun-warmed skin”.

Fire! Orchestra – The Swedish band describes itself as “extreme free jazz halleluljah mayhem”.

Oscar – Indie from Britain.

Arthur Beatrice – British indie with pop melodies a la The Smiths.

Liima – Danish band with members from the Reverb.

Morgan Delt – Psychedelic music from Los Angeles.

Whitney – American country rock with soul influences.

Joan Shelley – American dreamy music.

Arca – Producer from Venezuela who now makes his own music.

Lemaitre – Electro disco influences from Norway.

Bob Moses – Canadian band whose members are former house musicians and indie musicians.
