Women assaulted in Östersund in the night – Aftonbladet

On two occasions assaulted women in central Östersund on Saturday night.

At 01 attacked a woman by three men and subjected to an attempted rape.

Three hours later attacked another woman with fists before a lone assailant left the scene.

the first alarm was received at the police at 01 o’clock on Saturday night. A woman called the police and told that three young men had wrestled her down to the ground, and they tried to rip off her pants.

On his website, writes the police that the woman showed himself free from the men who then fled the scene. Police investigating the attack as attempted rape and appeal for tips from the public.

– The signalement we have to go on is that people are in the 18-25 years old, tall, slim and dark-clad. They shall also have talked Swedish with an accent, says Magnus Hamstig, duty officer at the police in Jämtland.

At 04 o’clock, near the place where the earlier attack took place, to be another woman being beaten by a lone assailant, police writes on his website. The man should have hit the woman in the face, threw her down the hill and pressed her head against the ground before he disappeared from the scene. The woman could later self alerting the police, and then stated that the attack was completely unprovoked. The man is described to be between 25 and 30 years old, have short hair on the sides and longer on top as well have been wearing a checkered clothing on the upper body.

– We will contact both plaintiffs during the day and hold new hearings. Perhaps it might be additional information. We sincerely hope to tips from the public. Attacks occurred at a busy street when many people are out and moving. Someone should have seen something, says Magnus Hamstig.
