Lagercrantz topped book sales – Vasterbotten Courier

Who wrote the 2015 best-selling novel in Sweden? David Lagercrantz, of course. His Millennium sequel “That which does not kill us” tops Swedish Publishers’ statistics on book sales last year, according to SVT’s “Culture News”.

suspense novels were, like most years, significantly represented in the statistics. Five of the ten most popular novels last year, suspense novels, written by the likes of Lars Kepler, Camilla Läckberg and Jens Lapidus.

Best was just for Swedish writers. Only an international writers managed to make the top ten list and it was EL James with eroticism hit “Grey – Fifty Shades of him according to Christian” that ended on position seven. Eight of the eleven best-sellers were written by male authors.

It is the first time the Publishers Association presents statistics on the year’s best-selling novels.
