The actor Björn Granath is dead – Västerbottens-kuriren (the Courier)

Home the Actor Björn Granath, has died after a short illness, said his family for the TT.

Most famous is perhaps Björn Granath for his role in the film about Mardie at the end of the 1970s. As Madickens dad, the empatiske tidningsredaktören Jonas Engström, he won the Swedish people’s hearts.

His skådespelarbana began about ten years earlier on the studentteatrar and Pistolteatern in Stockholm. Himself regarded his time in the free theater the Fool as his real education, and during the 1970s he participated in the so-called Tältprojektet.

in 1987, was pegged Granath to the royal Dramatic theatre’s permanent ensemble, and have played in a long series of films, "Pelle the Conqueror", "white as snow", "Jerusalem" and "Men who hate women". He also worked with Ingmar Bergman in a series of television stage and film productions.

Björn Granath was 70 years.
