U2′s tour manager Dennis Sheehan has died, writes TMZ.
According to police sources, he was found dead in his hotel room in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.
Dennis Sheehan has worked with U2 for over 30 years.
U2 has just started with their concert in Los Angeles when the tour leader Dennis Sheehan was found unconscious in his room at the Sunset Marquis Hotel.
According to police sources, TMZ called paramedics to the hotel room around 5:30 on Wednesday morning for a reported cardiac arrest. Sheehan was pronounced dead on the spot.
Just hours after the concert
For over 30 years, Dennis Sheehan was tour manager for U2. His death came just hours after the curtain went down on U2′s first of five concerts in Los Angeles.
In addition to U2, he has worked with rock legends like Led Zeppelin , Iggy Pop , Patti Smith and Lou Reed .
“We have lost a family member, we are still trying to take in this. He was not only a legend in the music industry, he was a legend in our band. He can not replace, “says front man Bono, in a statement on U2′s website.
