Storytel buy Norstedts Förlag – Aftonbladet

Audiobook company Storytel buy publishing house Norstedts – publishing writer Astrid Lindgren, David Lagercrantz and P. O. Enquist.

152 million acquisition of 100 percent of the shares.

– This is a dream come true, says the company’s CEO Jonas Tellander.

Storytel runs a subscription service for audiobooks and buy now venerable Norstedts group of Cooperative union, KF. It includes Norstedts, Raben & amp; Sjogren and Norstedts maps.

– The acquisition brings together Storytels excellence with some of Sweden’s finest writers, says Jonas Tellander, CEO of Storytel, in a press release.

– Streaming service will now allow many more people are discovering their stories.

Storytel was founded in 2005 and has around 100 employees. Besides Sweden, the company established in Denmark, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and Poland.

Tommy Ohlström, KF’s CEO, explains in the press release that you been looking for a new owner to Norstedts.

– for us it is clear that Storytel, with his love of literature and its exciting digital platform, the new owners we’ve been looking for, he said.

Norstedts was founded in 1823 and is home to writers like David Lagercrantz, Agneta Pleijel, Jonas Gardell, Kristina Sandberg, Torgny Lindgren and PO Enquist.

During Raben & amp; Sjögren is Astrid Lindgren, Lennart Hellsing and Gunilla Bergström.

KF acquired the publishing group in 1997 and Raben & amp; Sjogren in 1947.
