Kroumata put down after nearly 40 years – Vasterbotten Courier

After nearly 40 years, the percussion ensemble Kroumata decided to close down.

“We want to take this opportunity to thank all our partners, we’ve met through the years: composers, soloists, conductors, ensembles and orchestras – but above all we want to say a big thank you to our dedicated audience, “wrote the group in a press release also published on their Facebook page.

Kroumata was founded in 1978 and has spawned nearly 250 works, written for the group. The ensemble has toured in 40 countries around the world and collaborated with orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Berliner Symphoniker.
