Continued million flop of “Child 44″ – Västerbotten Folkblad

Entertainment News. Daniel Espinosa’s “Child 44″ is said to have cost over SEK 400 million to make. But two weeks after the world premiere, the Swedish film only made a SEK 27 million.

Even after the US premiere two weeks ago began to industry analysts speak of a giant flop for Swedish director Daniel Espinosa’s thriller “Child 44″.

Now Hollywood movie, with, among others, Noomi Rapace, Tom Hardy and Joel Kinnaman in the roles, gone up in many more countries, but figures are still red. According to Deadline Hollywood, the film has so far recorded more than 27 million.

The paper’s informant says “Child 44″ lacked a strong producer, someone who could ensure that history told in a clearer way.
