An Australian man has found a nugget of over four kilos. The discovery is probably worth around 1.6 million.
The find was made in an area in the state of Victoria, called “Victoria’s Golden Triangle,” reports ABC News. The area had been searched previously with metal, with no luck.
– first I thought it was garbage, maybe an old horse’s hoof, said the man, who made the find and wish to remain anonymous, to TV channel.
he found the golden nugget about three inches below the ground, in an area where he was the day before found a dumpling 250 grams.
– When I began to scrape away the mud and dig deeper, I could not believe my eyes; it was not only old scrap iron, he told ABC.
The man has the last ten years spent weekends to look for gold and old coins. Now he plans to buy a van and travel around Australia in search of more gold.
