A judge in Argentina has launched an investigation about the Spanish poet and playwright Federico García Lorca, who is believed to have been executed in 1936 by forces loyal to General Francisco Franco.
But García Lorca’s fate remained a mystery since it during an excavation in 2009 did not find any remains of the place where it was believed that he buried.
After the investigation in Spain were routed in the doldrums a human rights group urged the Argentine Federal judge María Servini to take up the case, which she accepted.
