It seems that Deathstroke is the villain in Affleck’s Batman movie – Gamereactor Sweden

It seems that we now know who will be the villain in the upcoming Batman movie directed by Ben Affleck. It began with Affleck put out a cryptic tweet that clearly shows the character Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson, in all its splendor. It is unclear if this little clip is taken from a movie or if it’s just test material.

When Affleck was not writing anything together with the clip of fans began to speculate on what it might mean. Would Deathstroke join the Justice League movie? Would he get his own movie? Or is he who will take on Batman in the Batman movie?

It turns out that the latter is true, at least according to The Wrap who claim to have insider sources that confirm it. At this writing it is not known who will play the role.

Deathstroke was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, and he made his debut in “The New Teen Titans’ No. 2 in 1980, but did not make contact Batman himself until 11 years later. The legendary mercenary had a significant role in the 2013 Batman: Arkham Origins, which may well have been his introduction to many of us gamers.

What this means for Jared Leto’s Joker is hard to say. Many had hoped that he would have an important role in the Batman movie, especially with that after the premiere of the Suicide Squad was made known that most of his scenes had been cut off before the premiere. We at Gamereactor hope that this does not exclude that Leto must be, too.
