Gary Richrath, known from the 80′s group REO Speedwagon is dead, said several US media.
Her death is confirmed on the band’s Facebook page.

Gitarissten Gary Richrath made his name mainly in the 70s and 80s with the band REO Speedwagon, but left the band, 1989.
Richrath reported to have written including the hit “Take It On The Run” but only released one album as a solo artist, 1992 “Only the Strong Survive.”
Among the REO Speedwagons greatest songs are among others “Keep on loving you” and “Can not fight this feeling”.

2013 the band reunited temporarily for a benefit concert for the benefit of residents in Illinois hit hard by storms that hit the area.
