backpack, mountain hiking and camping is perhaps not the first thing you think of when it comes to Tony Irving of Let’s Dance. But the fact is that he rents mobile home every summer and love to Kajka around Sweden. In Sjuans new program series “Camping queens,” he takes his friend and stylist Jonas Hallberg on camping adventure.
– We live in a mobile home and carry us around to the various places where we meet the locals and some celebrities, says Tony Irving.
In the program, they travel around Sweden. First stop is Marstrand where they hit crime writer Camilla Läckberg and her boyfriend Simon Shield. But there are also mountain hiking and a visit backstage at the Malmö Festival and Tony Irving exposes the Campingo habit Jonas Hallberg for different challenges, as high rope courses, clay pigeon shooting and fishing.
– To see the Jonas do all this is entertainment in itself. It’s like “Fort Boyard” in reality, says Tony Irving.
– And the funny thing is that he challenges me too. For example, how I will be sure to serve him gourmet foods when we’re up in the mountains.
The first episode of “Camping queens” broadcast on 1 March.
