New Dylan plate in February – Göteborgs-Posten

So it was time. In February, a new studio album with Bob Dylan, the sequel to the acclaimed Tempest from 2012.

It usually discussed if it is the second or third plate that is ” the difficult “. Bob Dylan, it was so long ago that he probably forgot what. February 15 next year releases legend its 36th studio album, Shadows in the night, which is a collection of old covers.

– I do not see myself as an interpreter of these songs in any way. They have been interpreted enough and now fallen into disuse. What I and my band basically does is to lift up the songs from the grave and let them re-emerge. It was truly a privilege to make this album. I’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time but have never been brave enough to approach me these orchestral arrangements for 30 people and scale them down for a five piece band, says Bob Dylan in a statement.

Several of these classic tunes from the American songbook has previously been interpreted by Frank Sinatra, but Dylan’s versions are neither strings, brass or some backing vocals.

– Maybe one or two takes. No overdubs. No sångbås or headphones. The album is mostly mixed as recorded, continues Bob Dylan.

According to the music magazine Rolling Stone’s album was produced by a certain “Jack Frost”, which, as many fans know is the pseudonym of Bob Dylan himself.

Dylan recently completed his Neverending Tour for 2014 with a game idea at the Beacon Theatre in New York and is expected, according to US media, continue to tour the 2015th
