An artist has been arrested after placing naked in front of Edouard Manet’s painting of Olympia in the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
The Museum Visitors to the exhibition called “The splendor and misery: Images of prostituion 1850-1910 “not only got to see the art they had anticipated. They also got to see the Luxembourg artist Deborah De Robertis undress and pose nude in front of Manet’s works.
De Robertis had a camera with them to film the reactions of the audience, according to her lawyer.
– There were many people at the blackboard. The security guards did a good job, they closed the room and told her to get dressed, said museum spokesman told AFP.
The police were called in because she refused to take on the clothes and the museum has notified the Robertis for indecent exposure.
