Connery’s wife indicted for fraud – Västerbotten Folkblad

The actor Sean Connery’s wife threatened with two years in prison and over 200 million in fines for alleged involvement in a real estate network in Spain, writes AFP.

Micheline Roquebrune, 86, is accused in the Spanish Marbella for participation in tax fraud after the couple sold a beach house and an apartment complex built black on the site.

The case, which investigators dubbed ‘Operation Goldfinger’ after a Bond Film , contains another 16 suspects, including Marbella’s former mayor already detained, writes The Guardian.

Investigation leader Alfredo Mondeja chased long Connery himself, but the threat to become an international wanted list added 85-year-old at last with a 56 pages long explanation, and was removed from the investigation.
