JK: “flock” is not slander – Vasterbotten Courier

There will be no investigation for slander and defamation current film “The Flock,” which had a theatrical release in September.

The Attorney General wrote in his decision that a prosecution is warranted in the public interest, but that the notifier itself can bring a private prosecution against the editor, writes Swedish Radio “Culture News”.

There is a related party to the girl who was subjected to rape in Bjästa 2009 who have signed the film on two occasions. Hen believes that there are “striking similarities” between the film and the real case, and that the film was made without the girl and related parties’ knowledge.

The director Beata Gårdeler has previously told TT that she was inspired by the events in Bjästa, but that “flock” should be seen as a regular feature film.
