Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac crossed the line for many in the theater.
At the Danish premiere fainted three men and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
Lars von Trier’s new film has attracted attention for its action and strong scenes. When it premiered in uncut condition in Denmark on Wednesday it was too much for some in the audience, according to BT.
Three men got carried off on a stretcher after having fainted. What caused the event was a scene where the actor Charlotte Gainsbourg’s character Joe perform an abortion on herself.
But the film’s producer Louise Vesth do not think Nymphomaniac crosses the line:
– It is up to the individual if they want to see it, she says, to BT.
In Sweden, film premiered January 31 this year.
Among the other actor is Swede Stellan Skarsgard, Shia LeBeouf and Uma Thurman.
