Aftonbladet reveals: Malena Ernman reads “Ring bell ring” – Aftonbladet

But can already Nöjesbladet reveal that Malena Ernman get the honor of reading “New Year’s bells” on New Year’s Eve.

According Nöjesbladet informant, the popular opera singer and the artist agreed to convey Alfred Tennyson’s poem of the classic verse “Ring bell ring” before the audience at the Solliden stage and the Swedish people in SVT’s New Year broadcast .

Tradition since 1895

The tradition of calling the year by Tennyson-poem began back in 1895 and since 1977′s broadcast on SVT’s New Year’s broadcasts each year.

Last year, the honor to loa falkman, but after he took over the popular role of Ica Stig in matkedjans commercials decided SVT that he could not continue. Aftonbladet wrote about this back in February. In August confirmed Falkman that he would not return to Skansen’s New Year celebration.

But now Nöjesbladet words reveal that he is succeeded by another prominent opera profile, Malena Ernman.

Jagat a woman

That it would be a woman who exclaims, “Ring bell ring” said Jan Malmsjö for Nöjesbladet earlier this fall. Malmsjo read New Year’s poem from 2001 in 2013.

But Skansen and SVT has chosen Malena Ernman, 45, instead. She becomes the second woman to front the poem by Margaretha Krook who had commissioned between 1997 and 2000.

Nöjesbladet has repeatedly sought Malena Ernman by her husband Svante Thunberg, but without success.
