Magnus Falkehed sat hostage in Syria are well known. – Aftonbladet

Magnus Falkehed sat hostage in Syria are well known.

It does not detract in any way the thrill when he sommarpratar.

His story is a great experience.

I will say right away that I know Magnus Falkehed a little, we’ve worked together.

It was therefore a little nervous to face his ” Summer ” in P1 as a reviewer.

A nervousness that completely unfounded, it turns out.

He is one wonderful storyteller with a gudabenådat sense for details.

The story of the kidnapping and imprisonment in Syria is so dramatic that summer talk could easily get out of control and become a WHEEZY adventure story.

But Magnus Falkehed doing the opposite.

quietly but effective, he gives us the small details, those that make that I’m with him and Niclas Hammarström in the basement when they are pleased that Magnus finally wash their urine smelly jeans with ragged fly with stolen detergent.

And at the poker party where it is intended that they will lose against the guards but the tour as well as stapled onto Magnus hands and he is seated with full house and ladder even though he already tossed a set.

It’s exciting and touching and memorable.

Death is ever present – both in Syria, home of the families and in the summer the talk.

Can see the dead bodies on satellite images? wonder Magnus wife Florence home in Paris.

If I die now has life might not have been spectacular but a good life, my life, thinks Magnus hostage.

He also has the courage to examine her and Niclas motives to go to perhaps the most dangerous place on earth and concludes that when journalism succeed – it does not always – as the world has become both a little brighter and more nuanced.

And I am proud to be a journalist myself.

Magnus sommarprat is like a telescope directed toward the essential: the life, death and love.
