Eminem vocabulary larger than Dylan – Metro

Bob Dylan may be famous for its jam-packed texts but rock poet’s vocabulary is nothing compared to many rappers. A new survey from låttexttjänsten Musixmatch shows that Eminem used the 8818 words in their songs, while Dylan “only” used 4883 words, writes The Guardian.

In the survey, where 93 of music history’s best-selling artists included , has gone through every artist 100 text richest songs and counted how many different words used.

Eminem is unchallenged number one – on average, every eleventh word in his texts previously unused by him. Bob Dylan may also beaten by Jay Z (6899 words), Tupac Shakur (6569 words) and Kanye West (5059 words) and places itself thereby on the list in fifth place as the first non-hip-hop artist.
