The Cullberg Ballet has teamed with composer Laurie Anderson and choreographer Deborah Hay.
The work is called Figure A Sea and will premiere at the House of Dance in Stockholm on 24 September.
Laurie Anderson has written both popular and classical music and has collaborated with Peter Gabriel, Lou Reed and William Burroughs.
choreographer Deborah Hay was one of the first to use everyday movements as part of the work and has created works for artists such as Mikhail Baryshnikov.
