Zentropa makes film about Copenhagen The deed – Västerbotten Folkblad

The Danish film company Zentropa to make a feature film about the terror attack in Copenhagen. It was in February this year as 22-year-old Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein killed two people and injured by bullets more during an attack on a synagogue and a meeting where, among others, the Swedish artist Lars Vilks participated.

The director Manyar Parwanis film should be about the dramatic hours that passed between the attacks until the Danish police shot El-Hussein to death. According Parwani the film is an attempt to tell the story of what happened to the perpetrator before, during and after the attack.

“It was not specifically the events in Copenhagen who first got me to start thinking about making the film – such This horrific deeds have occurred several times in the last decade. But Copenhagen influenced me very, and why I want to examine whether it is possible to lock me in Omar’s consciousness and dark values, and thus portray the phenomenon more generally, “he says in a press release.

The film company Zentropa was founded in 1992 and is the film companies that produce Lars von Trier’s acclaimed movies.
