An ambitious gang of architects have started a campaign to collect money so that they can build the city of Minas Tirith from the “Lord of the Rings” films – full size.
The architects have 60 days to collect the modest sum of just over SEK 25 billion, otherwise the money goes back to the contributors, writes The Independent. The most generous thing can be designated as the “lord” and “lady” of Gondor’s capital.
– We love Tolkien’s work and want to challenge the perception of what a society and architecture is something, says Jonathan Wilson, one of the architects.
So far it has managed to collect about 6400 crowns.
