Timoteij was created in 2008 and comprised of Cecilia Kallin, Bodil Bergström, Elina Thorsell and Johanna Pettersson.
the Pop group went in 2010 to the final of the Eurovision song contest, and reached a fifth place with the song "Come". 2014 chose Johanna Pettersson to leave the group to pursue a career in dance.
Timoteij released in the same year the debut album "Yearning," and became known to a larger Swedish audience.
the Group explains the decision to lay down with that you want to bet on individual careers:
"Almost seven years have now passed, and it is time to move on to new projects and challenges. Cecilia continued with a solo career in music, Elina would like to focus more on fitness and health, and Bodil work on their own projects in the rest of the world", writes the group in a press release.

Timoteij writes in the press release about the pride over the success of the band. The group also take this opportunity to pay tribute to their fans:
"the Time that Timoteij, we are incredibly happy and proud. We have released three albums, been awarded with platinum and gold discs, toured around the whole of Sweden and parts of Europe and -above all-met all of our amazing fans. To all who have supported us, we want to send a big warm thank you, and we hope to see you at christmas on our last tour.", writes the band.
the Band is currently out on a tour and are making their final plays in Karlshamn, sweden, Hässleholm, Sweden and finally the Crowd.
