Axwell & Ingrosso want to stop Rubio – Västerbotten Courier

When Republican Marco Rubio on Monday announced his candidacy for the office of US president, he stepped off the stage to the strains of the former Swedish House Mafia members Axwell & amp; Ingrosso song “Something new.”

It did not like the Swedish DJ stars at all and now they are demanding that Rubio stop using the song.

“Axwell & amp; Ingrosso has not given permission to use the song and they do not want to be paired with any party during the upcoming election campaign, “says the band in a statement according to Business Insider.

Republican US politicians have often faltered when they tried using pop songs in their campaigns.

The most famous example is when Bruce Springsteen in 1984 stopped the Ronald Reagan from using “Born in the USA”. In 2000, then forced Bush to stop using “I Will not Back Down” by Tom Petty protested.

In 2008, considering John McCain addition, using Abbas’ Take a Chance on Me “as kampanjlåt but he laid down the idea when it proved too difficult to get permission.
