Bob Dylan releases new album Feb. 3 – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

It is about ten tracks produced by Jack Frost and Dylan’s first album of newly recorded music since “Tempest” came in 2012.

Dylan says in a press release that it has been a privilege to do the album: “I wanted to do something like this for a long time, but have never been brave enough to approach me these orchestral arrangements and scale them down for a five-piece band. It is the key to these recordings. We knew these songs very well. Everything is recorded live. Maybe one or two takes. No overdubbs. No sångbås or headphones. The album is mostly mixed as it was recorded. I do not see myself as an interpreter of these songs in any way. They have been interpreted enough and now fallen into disuse. What I and my band basically does is to lift up the songs from the grave and let them be born. “

On the plate are no strings, brass or choral singing as other album of standards usually have. Among the titles are “I’m a Fool to Want You”, “The night we called it a day,” “Stay With Me”, “Autumn leaves” and “That Lucky Old Sun”. Frank Sinatra has previously recorded all the tracks.

Listen to “Full Moon and Empty Arms”.
