Angry carpenter lost viewers subchannel row – Aftonbladet

“Angry Carpenter” lost a quarter of its viewers in Channel 5th

After Telia blanking SBS Discovery has become a great looking pin for the channel’s most popular programs.

More than 700 000 households have been affected.

On the night between Tuesday and Wednesday were all SBS Discovery channels from Telia’s range after parties not agreed in their negotiations.

Something that affected more than 700 000 households around Sweden.

The TV channels that are now dimmed had far fewer viewers on Wednesday, compared to several Wednesdays during the previous weeks.

Channel 5′s most watched program on Wednesdays is “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Angry carpenter”, “Big Bang Theory” and “The Mysteries of Laura”.

“Angry carpenter” has now lost more than a quarter of its viewers compared to last week. The program was seen as of 325,000, but now fell to 254,000, a watch pin of over 70 000. At the same time dropped the “Grey’s Anatomy” over 40 000 viewers, according to figures from the MMS.

According to the MMS data to Dagens Media it is 14-15 percent of Sweden’s 4.2 million TV households as Telia as operator.

– In primetime on Wednesday night, it was SBS Discovery’s second largest TV house after the TV4 Group in our main target group who is 15-44 years. It was a strong performance during an exceptional evening with two big final program in TV4 channels, “Sweden’s master chef” and “Biggest Loser Sweden”. But we rejoice not anyway because we know that many viewers had the opportunity to watch their favorite shows with us, for technical reasons, says Dan Panas , press officer at SBS Discovery.

Neither Telia or SBS Discovery want to comment on what the conflict that led to the canals were removed about because of confidentiality.

An informed source in the television industry said Wednesday Nöjesbladet that there are two strong reasons for the conflict. One main point is according to the source that Telia wants to decide which TV channels SBS Discovery’ll get to have on Telia platform, the second point is the pricing.

– The TV market is so right now that distributors pay less for linear TV channels with TV Guide. This battle is incredibly important and can also be very long lasting. Both parties have a keen interest to win.
