Rönnberg: “April 10 there will be a party” – Expressen

Gothenburg. Frölunda is the bridge with a knife against his throat after latest defeat to Vaxjo.

But despite 1-3 in matches fear not the dissolution of the semifinal series.

– April 10 there will be a celebration in Scandinavium – it’s the day we beat out Vaxjo, says coach Roger Rönnberg.

Despite a very nice middle period during Easter Saturday in Vida arena became the clear loss for Frölunda 0-4 against Växjö.

A loss that put the team in the same situation as in the quarterfinal series against Luleå. She turned Frölunda and Roger Rönnberg not tremble on the cuff of the same scenario to be feasible now.

– April 10 will be a party in Dubai – it is, he says.

” strong in my belief that there is enough “

The way there is very much to build on the games that have been – but cash in on the chances and better pressure initially.

– We must know our identity. We have not won many hockey games during these two years that we are mean and tough, I do not think that’s where it sits. We have to play to our identity and makes it fully. I am strong in my belief that it is enough, says Rönnberg.

– We have not played our best hockey these three matches, especially during the first periods. It has done that Växjö has got something going on in every game, and they handled it well.

“Need aims to get energy”

He develops his argument:

– We face an opponent that makes it difficult for us. But I do not think we have come up in the capacity we can. If we look at other periods, I think we’ve owned them three games in a row.

– It has been almost the same pattern three games in a row that first period has gone to Vaxjo, others to us – then we have not got up our efficiency and scored most of the chances we created.

– There are goals you need to get the energy to turn around these kinds of matches. There are goals we need to win these kinds of games. There are goals that can throw the emotions to one side for one team and the other

way for the other team. It has been evenly and tightly. There is so little that decides and it is the energy we need.

“We have the power, faith, self-confidence”

What does it mean that you have been in this seat , by 1-3 in matches and the knife at his throat, to Luleå?

– Tremendously. It’s like I told the team that after the floor when we gathered here and it was 3-1 in Luleå so there were many who perhaps did not believe deep down that we would turn around without doubts existed then and of course there are doubts now – everything else would be almost unhealthy.

– But we also know that it is primarily about winning a match and it’s home here. The energy, the faith and confidence – that we certainly have.
